The canel\u00e9 is a traditional baked sweet handed down in convents of France\u2019s Bordeaux region. Inspired by its fluted, bell-like shape, it was given a name that is the French word meaning \u201cfluted.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crisp and toasty on the outside,<\/strong> it is made with high-quality \u201cSakura\u201d eggs from purely Japanese-bred hens<\/strong> and vanilla<\/strong>, and baked to a gently sweet, soft, and chewy texture inside.<\/strong> Though made from simple ingredients, each one is crafted by hand.
